Some people may not consider Philippines as the climbing mecca of the world, but we still have a lot of beautiful and challenging crags to offer, and one of these crags are located here in Cebu. Oh, yes! It is here in the wonderful province of Cebu. Where exactly is it located? Well, it is more than an hour ride from the Cebu City before you reach the small barangay of Cantabaco, Toledo City.

The best way to get there if you don't have your own car is to go to Citilink Terminal (N. Bacalso Avenue., besides Cebu City Medical Center) and take a v-hire going to Toledo City. If you tell the driver that you will be climbing, they basically know on where to drop you off, or you can also tell "Mr. Driver" to drop you off at the carenderia (a small eatery) of Manang Vergie. The last time that I went there, the fare is less than 100php.

As for the place to stay if you're thinking of climbing for days, there are locals who are willing to share their roof with you for a couple hundreds (I promise you that it will be very inexpensive). One of the places to go is the place of Manang Tetsing Paran. She has 4 rooms with double deck beds. You can also go to Manang Celia's "Green House". We called it Green House because the exterior of the house is painted green. It is just along the highway; you can't miss it. Again, you just have to ask the locals, and they will gladly help you find your way.

With regard to food, that's not a problem! There are small stores around the area, and a small barbecue stall on late afternoon until night time. You also have the option to ask the family on where you will be staying with to include you with their meals, which is more convenient (of course, it will be an additional charge). If you will be climbing from morning to late afternoon, it will be a better idea to bring your lunch to the crag. You don't want to waste your time going back and forth just to take your lunch.

Also, you have the option to bring canned goods with you if you're on a budget.

That's it! Enjoy your climb!

By the way, that's me in the picture.
